Care Portal is a very simple way to be notified when children and families in our community have a need. When there is a need in our community you will receive an email that describes the need and gives you the opportunity to help a neighbor. Care Portal Shopping Team: Do You Enjoy Shopping? What about delivering gifts? We have a new opportunity to shop for and deliver much-needed items to families in Jackson. Social workers, school counselors, and other community requesting agents receive requests for help from families in crisis. These requests for help are evaluated and, if found valid and helpful, entered into the Care Portal platform. Care Portal then emails the requests to 100s of Cape and Jackson churches and community members. When a request is filled with monetary donations, this is when our Cape Portal Shopping Team will go to work. The funds are loaded onto the New McKendree Church Care Portal debit card, and our team will purchase items to fulfill the need, and then deliver the needed items.
